Dance Classes for Ages 10–17
Keep learning. Keep creating. Keep becoming the dancer and performer you want to be.
Older dancers come to Ascension with very different histories.
Some have danced since preschool. Some are starting later. Some are returning after a change in how dance fits their life. Others love theatre, performance, music or movement and want a creative place where they can continue learning.
Each dancer deserves a class where they can grow, contribute and be known.
WHAT CLASSES FOCUS ON
Depending on the class, dancers may work in ballet, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, tap, musical theatre and technique.
Classes can include:
- technique and alignment
- strength and control
- musicality
- movement quality
- choreography
- expression and performance
- flexibility and mobility work appropriate to the class
- individual feedback
- preparation for performances.
DIFFERENT EXPERIENCE LEVELS
Starting later does not mean you missed your chance to dance.
Experienced dancers can continue challenging themselves, refining technique and exploring new creative goals.

For 2026–27, the current Jackrabbit youth schedule in this age band lists classes for ages 10–13. Dancers ages 14–17 are welcome to contact the studio before registering so we can confirm the best current option.
TUITION
Current 2026–27 listed youth classes in this age band are 60 minutes.

PRIVATE LESSONS
Older dancers may also use private lessons for focused technique, choreography or individual skill development.
30 minutes: $80/month
45 minutes: $90/month
60 minutes: $100/month
Availability depends on teacher schedules.
PERFORMANCE
Fall classes work toward the Holiday Film.
January–May classes work toward the live Spring Recital.
Each semester is a separate commitment.
